2023 Nissan Altima

The 2023 Altima has an angular, black grille with the Nissan symbol in the middle, a sculpted hood, and sculpted sides. It's available in five trim levels: S, SV, SR, SL, and SR VC-Turbo. The base S trim comes with angular automatic headlights, speed-sensitive windshield wipers, daytime running lights, active grille shutters, all-season tires, and 16-inch wheels. You can add fog lights, 17- or 19-inch wheels, turn signals for the side mirrors, acoustic glass, a power moonroof, and a rear spoiler. You can also get splash guards, chrome dual exhaust, a rear bumper protector, and puddle lights. Available colors include Gray Sky Pearl, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Garnet Pearl Metallic, Super Black, Deep Blue Pearl, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, Glacier White, and Pearl White TriCoat.

The standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder motor generates 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. With the SR VC-Turbo, you'll get a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that gives 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Both options have an Xtronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

This sedan is fun to drive, and it has great acceleration. Active Ride Control activates the brakes automatically when needed and adjusts torque to help you make tighter turns. Independent suspension and power steering are standard as well. You can select paddle shifters for the steering wheel with a manual driving mode, intelligent all-wheel drive, and a sport-tuned suspension. The Altima gets 25 mpg in urban areas and 34 mpg on the highway.

This car comes with an appealing interior and many convenient features. You'll get an air filter for the cabin, push-button start, keyless entry, remote start, and a 5-inch driver information display. Intelligent Climate Control lets you activate the heating or air conditioning before you step inside to avoid uncomfortable interior temperatures. A 7-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, audio controls for the steering wheel, a six-speaker audio system, and speed-sensitive volume control are also standard. With the rear seats folded, you'll get 58.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Interior options include dual-zone automatic climate control with vents for the rear seats, an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar support, heated leather seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and wood or silver accents. You can also choose a 7-inch driver information display, an 8- or 12.3-inch touchscreen, navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A Bose sound system with nine speakers and wireless charging is available as well.

The 2023 Altima includes a variety of advanced safety features. It has automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning. You can add a 360-degree camera system, ProPILOT Assist driving assistance, lane-keeping assistance, and forward collision warning.
