2027 Nissan Sentra: What's New, Trims and Prices in Fishers

Nissan made these changes to the Sentra for 2027 and carried the rest of the all-new 2026 generation forward.

• SR Midnight Edition package: A $650 option on the SR at launch, it adds black exterior badges (including a Midnight Edition badge), black window opening trim, 18-inch black alloy wheels and a Super Black two-tone roof. It's a package on the SR, not a fifth trim.
• Retuned Xtronic CVT: Nissan retuned the continuously variable transmission for a smoother, more linear feel when you accelerate. The 2.0-liter engine itself carries over.
• Available Qi2 wireless charging: Qi2 wireless charging is available for 2027; front wireless charging is standard on the SR and part of the SV Convenience Package.

Compared with 2026 launch pricing, the S is up $390, the SV is up $620, the SR is down $10 and the SL is unchanged. The destination and handling charge rose $30. For the 2026 model year in detail, see our 2026 Nissan Sentra overview.

Nissan announced 2027 Sentra pricing in August 2026, and this table lists each trim's launch MSRP with the equipment that stands out on it.

MSRP excludes destination, tax, title, license and options, and we set the actual selling price.

Picking a 2027 Sentra trim usually comes down to 3 questions: how much you want beyond the S, how you want to get heated seats, and whether the top features are worth the SL.

At introduction, the SV's MSRP was $1,000 higher than the S's. For that, you get the larger digital driver display, keyfob remote start, the Drive Mode Selector and aluminum wheels in place of steel wheels with covers. Remote start is the one you'll be glad to have on a cold January morning in Hamilton County.

For heated front seats on a middle trim, compare the SV with its $990 Convenience Package against the SR with its $650 All-Weather Package. At Nissan's launch pricing, the SR equipped that way came to $660 more in MSRP. It already comes standard with heated mirrors and front wireless charging, which the SV gets in its Convenience Package. Beyond heated seats, the SV's Convenience Package includes a heated steering wheel, and the SR's All-Weather Package adds dual-zone automatic climate control. The SR also brings 18-inch wheels, 6 speakers and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, while the SV is EPA-rated 1 MPG higher combined.

At the top, an SR with the $2,300 Premium Package and the SL were $700 apart in MSRP at launch, and each has hands-on ProPILOT Assist. This is what each one has for audio, the Around View Monitor and cruise control:

Only the SL has Rear Automatic Braking and the Rear Sonar System. Its other standard equipment includes:

• A moonroof, which is an option on the SR
• Heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control, which come in the SR's All-Weather Package
• TailorFit seats and a heated steering wheel

The SR keeps its 18-inch wheels, while the SL rides on 17-inch wheels and is EPA-rated 1 MPG higher combined.

If the lowest MSRP matters most, start with the S, since it already carries the full standard safety list. The SV is worth the step for remote start and the larger driver display. Go with the SR for 18-inch wheels plus standard heated mirrors and wireless charging, and choose the SL for the features only it offers and for heated seats without adding a package.

Every 2027 Sentra uses the same engine and transmission.

Fuel economy splits by trim, and the SR, including the Midnight Edition, is rated a little lower than the others.

The gap is widest on the highway, at 2 MPG, which is worth weighing if most of your driving is on the interstate.

If your commute runs down I-69, range is the first number to know. A full 12.41-gallon tank works out to roughly 410 miles at the combined EPA rating of the S, SV and SL, or about 400 miles in an SR. Both figures are estimates from the EPA ratings and the tank size, and your real-world range will vary. For stop-and-go traffic, look at the SL or the SR's Premium Package, which bring ProPILOT Assist and a stop-go version of Intelligent Cruise Control.

Winters here in Central Indiana bring snow and salted roads. Every 2027 Sentra is front-wheel drive, so if all-wheel drive is a must, the Sentra isn't your car. Ground clearance is 4.7 inches on the S and SV and 4.8 inches on the SR and SL, which suits plowed streets more than deep, unplowed snow. For cold mornings, every trim offers heated front seats.

These measurements apply to every 2027 Sentra unless a trim is named.

If you're tall, sit in a Sentra with the moonroof before you add one to an SV or SR, because it takes 1.2 inches of front head room.

Every 2027 Sentra, from the S up, comes with this safety, driver-assist and technology equipment.

No 2027 Sentra has built-in navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot or over-the-air updates.

The S already has every standard feature listed here, so step up only for the extras you'll use. If you spend long hours on the road, weigh ProPILOT Assist, which comes with Bose audio in the SR's Premium Package and on the SL.

The SL comes with this technology and driver-assist equipment:

• Bose Premium Audio with 8 speakers
• The HD Intelligent Around View Monitor
• ProPILOT Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control with full-speed range and stop-go
• Rear Automatic Braking, which no package adds to the S, SV or SR
• The Rear Sonar System and Unresponsive Driver Assist
• Ambient lighting and an auto-dimming rearview mirror

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not published ratings for the 2027 Sentra yet; it lists the car as Not Rated overall and for frontal crash, side crash and rollover. Ratings change as new tests are published, so check NHTSA.gov for the latest.

Bluestone Pearl and Energetic Ember come only as two-tones.
