Affordable, rugged, and powerful, the 2024 Nissan Frontier is an excellent mid-size pickup taking the market by storm. You have a choice of a 5-foot or a 6-foot bed, and it comes with a generous array of standard features that’ll appeal to drivers seeking value.

1. High Towing Capacity
If you’re looking for a capable mid-sized truck, then the Frontier should be your go-to. The towing capacity varies by trim and configuration, but you can always expect the truck to be able to tow over 6,000 pounds. The Crew Cab S 4×2 with the standard size bed can handle 6,560 pounds, for example. If you choose the Crew Cab S 4×4 with the long bed, then the towing capacity changes to 6,400 pounds.
2. Great Entertainment
Whether you’re taking a camper out for a family trip or hauling heavy gear for work, you’ll have no trouble staying entertained while taking long journeys in the Frontier. The cabin has between four and 10 speakers depending on the trim, and each configuration has a 7-inch infotainment display that lets you access AM, FM, and SiriusXM radio to enjoy some music.
There are audio controls mounted on the steering wheel so you can adjust what you’re listening to without reaching over to the infotainment system. Plus, these controls are illuminated, so you can use them even at night.
3. Smartphone Connectivity
Connecting your smartphone to your Frontier using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay makes the truck even more capable when it comes to technology. It lets you stream audio from smartphone apps such as Apple Music or Spotify. There are numerous other helpful features you can access when your phone is connected to the infotainment system, too.
4. Collision Prevention
Your Frontier can detect potential collisions in front of the car as well as behind it. The Forward Collision System and Front Pedestrian Detection are both standard on all trims. The Rear Collision System can be equipped on trims it’s not standard on. All of the systems let you know when there’s a driver or pedestrian in your path while you’re driving forward or reversing, allowing you to quickly respond to dangerous situations.
5. Driver Assistance Technology
Along with collision prevention, there’s a lot more driver assistance technology available or standard on the Frontier depending on the trim. All iterations of the Frontier have Cruise Control, Driver Attention Alert, and Hill Hold Control. Optional helpful features to consider equipping on the base trim include Active Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Parking Sensors.
