The 2024 Nissan Z puts a modern spin on the classic performance sports coupe. After a full redesign last year, the Z adds a new high-performance model to the lineup for 2024. Get to know this legendary two-seater vehicle before you stop by your local Nissan dealer to try it out for yourself.
Power and Performance
The Z stands out in the performance category with its tight suspension and pinpoint-precise steering. The base model of this sports car is equipped with a twin-turbo V6 that delivers 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, with rear-wheel drive and either a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission. The manual comes with launch control along with Nissan’s SynchroRev Match feature. This powertrain boasts a 4.3-second zero-to-60 time.
The high-performance Nismo trim is the new introduction to the lineup. This model pushes the envelope to 420 hp, cutting the zero-to-60 to less than 4 seconds, and receives enhancements that include Recaro sport seats, a stronger chassis, and upgraded brakes. The mid-range Performance model gives you lighter 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, upgraded brakes, aluminum pedals, limited-slip differential, and sport-tuned suspension.
Design and Features
The Z gives you nearly 7 cubic feet of cargo space, along with standard amenities like automatic climate control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The race-inspired cabin design features a leather shift knob and a sport steering wheel. As you move up the lineup of this sports car, you’ll find real leather upholstery, conveniences such as a universal garage door opener, and heated, power-adjustable seats.
You can customize the look of the Nissan Z with available appearance upgrades. Options include a rear spoiler, chin spoiler, exterior ground lighting, and a dual racing stripe. The Nismo model has unique appeal with a trim-specific rear spoiler and honeycomb grille.
Tech and Driver Assistance
The 2024 Z comes with several standard driver assistance features. Each model includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and more.
Each model pairs a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with an 8-inch touchscreen to create a cockpit-inspired digital dashboard. The Z comes with standard features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio. Higher trims feature Amazon Alexa voice commands, a 9-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, a wireless hotspot, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
