For most shoppers, the 2026 Nissan Murano SL is the trim to buy, because it adds the panoramic moonroof, Bose® audio and 360-degree camera view you notice every day. Every Murano shares one engine and all-wheel drive, so the real choice comes down to comfort and technology. The SV is a well-equipped starting point with heated front seats and ProPILOT Assist already standard. The Platinum suits the driver who wants quilted leather-appointed seats, massaging front seats and a Head-Up Display. When one of them sounds right, you can shop for a Murano with us at Ed Martin Nissan of Fishers.

2026 Murano Trims at a Glance
The 2026 Murano comes in three trims, and each step up adds comfort and technology rather than power. This table shows each trim's launch price, its key equipment and the package it can add.
| Trim | MSRP at Launch | Key Equipment | Package Available |
|---|---|---|---|
| Murano SV | $41,670 | Heated front seats; Prima-Tex® leatherette seats; power liftgate | - |
| Murano SL | $46,760 | Panoramic moonroof; Bose® audio; 360-degree camera view | Comfort Package |
| Murano Platinum | $49,800 | Quilted leather-appointed seats; ventilated and massaging front seats; Head-Up Display | Technology Package |
These are Nissan's suggested retail prices from the 2026 Murano's launch, and they exclude the $1,545 destination and handling charge. Tax, title and license are also extra, as are options.
How to Choose Your Murano Trim
Choosing a 2026 Murano trim comes down to four deciding factors:
Seat comfort:
SV and SL have Prima-Tex® leatherette seats. Platinum has quilted semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, with heated, ventilated and massaging front seats and heated outer seats in the back row.
Driver assistance and cameras:
Every trim has hands-on ProPILOT Assist, and the SL adds a 360-degree camera view. ProPILOT Assist 2.1, a hands-off freeway system offered only on Platinum through the Technology Package, has firm limits and needs a subscription after its trial.
Cabin technology:
Google built-in, Bose® audio and a panoramic moonroof come with the SL. Platinum adds a Head-Up Display.
Budget:
The SV launched as the lowest-priced Murano, and at launch the step from SV to SL cost more than the step from SL to Platinum.
Each trim below fits a different kind of driver.
Murano SV
The Murano SV is the smart buy for a shopper who wants a comfortable, well-connected SUV at the lowest launch price in the lineup. It brings the shared engine, screens and driver assistance, then adds these comfort basics:
- Heated front seats trimmed in Prima-Tex® leatherette
- An 8-way power driver's seat with 2-way power lumbar support
- A 6-way power passenger's seat
- Six-speaker audio and a RearView Monitor rear camera
- A power liftgate and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels
What the SV gives up is in the cabin extras. The SV has no moonroof, no heated steering wheel and no Google built-in. It also can't add the Comfort Package, so ventilated seats are out of reach on this trim. Without a moonroof overhead, though, the SV keeps the most head room in the lineup.
Choose the SV if heated seats, big screens and ProPILOT Assist cover what you want, and start shopping for a Murano with us. Anyone who would miss a panoramic moonroof or the SL's 360-degree camera view should look at the SL instead.
Murano SL
The Murano SL's launch price sits $5,090 above the SV's, and that step brings most of the features people notice on a daily drive. The SL keeps the SV's heated front seats and adds two groups of features.
Comfort and cabin:
- A panoramic moonroof with a powered shade
- A heated steering wheel
- Memory for the driver's seat and outside mirrors
- Multi-color ambient lighting with 64 colors to choose from
- An auto-dimming rearview mirror and acoustic front side glass
Technology:
- Bose® Premium Series audio with 10 speakers
- NissanConnect® with Google built-in, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and the Google Play Store
- A Wi-Fi hotspot
- The HD Enhanced Intelligent Around View® Monitor, a 360-degree camera view around the SUV
Google built-in and the Wi-Fi hotspot need a NissanConnect Services subscription after the included trial.
The SL can't get the Head-Up Display, which is Platinum-only. It also can't get ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which comes only with Platinum's Technology Package.
The SL is the one to pick when you want the most features for the money, and you can shop for your Nissan Murano with us once you've decided. If ventilated and massaging seats matter to you, price out the SL Comfort Package before moving up to Platinum.
Murano Platinum
The Murano Platinum's launch price is $3,040 higher than the SL's, and it brings the most luxurious Murano cabin. On top of the SL's equipment, Platinum builds in these additions.
Seats and comfort:
- Quilted semi-aniline leather-appointed seats
- Heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, both with 4-way power lumbar
- Heated seats for the two outer rear seats
- A power tilt and telescoping steering column with position memory
Technology and exterior:
- A Motion Activated Liftgate
- A Head-Up Display that can show information such as your speed and the posted speed limit on the windshield
- 21-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels
- Power-folding outside mirrors and automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers
Go with Platinum and begin your Murano shopping with us if you want every comfort feature without adding a package. Platinum is also your route to ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which it gets only through the Technology Package. A shopper who mainly wants the ventilated and massaging seats may do better with an SL and its Comfort Package.
Murano Packages and Options
The 2026 Murano offers two packages, each tied to one trim, plus a few paint and wheel choices.
SL Comfort Package
The Comfort Package is a $1,380 option at launch for the Murano SL only. It brings these Platinum comfort features to the SL:
- Heated and ventilated front seats with a massage function
- 4-way power lumbar support for the driver's and passenger's seats
- Heated seats for the two outer rear seats
- A Motion Activated Liftgate
At launch, an SL with the Comfort Package cost $1,660 less than a Platinum.
Compared with a Comfort Package SL, a Platinum adds quilted leather-appointed seats and a Head-Up Display. It also brings larger wheels and a power tilt and telescoping steering column with position memory, plus access to the Technology Package.
The Comfort Package suits a driver who wants cooled seats in July and warm rear seats in January without moving up to Platinum. The SV isn't eligible for this package, and Platinum doesn't need it because the same features come standard.
Platinum Technology Package
The Technology Package is a $2,900 option at launch, offered only on the Murano Platinum. It includes:
- ProPILOT Assist 2.1
- The 3D Enhanced Intelligent Around View® Monitor, which lets you rotate a virtual camera view around the SUV
- An extra air bag, the driver seat-mounted front-center supplemental air bag
How ProPILOT Assist 2.1 Works
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is the feature that sets the Murano Technology Package apart. It allows attentive drivers to go hands-off in freeway driving situations, using cameras, radar sensors and other technology. When it is working on the freeway, the system handles steering, acceleration and braking, so you can take your hands off the wheel and your feet off the pedals.
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 comes with firm limits:
- The system cannot prevent collisions.
- The driver is responsible for staying in control and watching traffic at all times.
- Hands-off driving works only in a single lane, with the driver attentive and ready to take control right away.
- Lane markings must be detected for the system to work.
- ProPILOT Assist 2.1 does not work in all weather, traffic and road conditions.
- The system has limited control, and the driver may need to steer, brake or accelerate at any time to stay safe.
- The feature must be activated through NissanConnect Services, with a trial included and a monthly subscription fee after it ends.
The Technology Package is worth adding if you spend long stretches on the freeway, such as road trips or a freeway commute, and want hands-off help there. Other Platinum buyers can skip it.
The standard ProPILOT Assist on every Murano is a different, hands-on system, so your hands stay on the wheel.
Paint and Wheel Options
A few extra-cost choices sit outside the two Murano packages. This table shows each option's launch price and the trims that can add it.
| Option | Price at Launch | Trims |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Paint | $450 | SV, SL, Platinum |
| Two-Tone with Premium Paint | $1,000 | Platinum |
| Dark charcoal 20-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 20-inch wheels | $1,810 | SV, SL |
Murano Trims for Central Indiana Winters
Cold, snowy winters are part of life here in Central Indiana, so warm-up features matter when you pick a Murano trim. Every trim includes Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, heated outside mirrors and Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System.
This table shows which cold-weather comfort features differ by Murano trim.
| Winter Feature | SV | SL | Platinum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heated front seats | Standard | Standard | Standard (also ventilated) |
| Heated steering wheel | - | Standard | Standard |
| Heated seats for the two outer rear seats | - | Comfort Package | Standard |
| Automatic rain-sensing wipers | - | - | Standard |
For a winter commute, the SL is the first Murano trim that warms both your seat and your steering wheel. If you carry back-seat passengers all winter, an SL with the Comfort Package was the lower-priced way to get heated rear seats at launch.
Murano Seating and Cargo Space
Every 2026 Murano is a two-row SUV that seats five, with no third row. This table compares the key interior measurements by trim.
| Measurement | Murano SV | Murano SL and Platinum |
|---|---|---|
| Front head room | 41.1 in | 39.4 in |
| Rear head room | 39.7 in | 37.9 in |
| Front leg room | 44.3 in | 44.3 in |
| Second-row leg room | 36.3 in | 36.3 in |
| Cargo space behind the second row | 32.9 cu ft | 32.9 cu ft |
| Cargo space with the second row folded | 63.5 cu ft | 63.5 cu ft |
Head room is lower on the SL and Platinum because of the panoramic moonroof overhead. The 60/40-split rear bench folds flat when you need the larger cargo area.
Paying for Your 2026 Murano
Nissan's suggested retail prices leave out the destination charge. They also leave out title, license and tax, so plan for those as well.

Does every 2026 Nissan Murano have all-wheel drive?
Yes. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Murano SV, SL and Platinum, and no front-wheel-drive Murano is offered for 2026. To feel how it drives, ask us about a test drive.

What does the Murano SL Comfort Package add?
Only the 2026 Murano SL can get the Comfort Package, a $1,380 option at launch. It adds front seats that heat, cool and massage, with 4-way power lumbar support. The system has limited control, and the driver may need to steer, brake or accelerate at any time to stay safe.
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 cannot prevent collisions and does not work in all weather, traffic and road conditions.
